A Letter from Samntha Ronci, our founder:
My name is Sami, and I started Sami's SendOffs when I was fifteen in honor of every child who has ever fought cancer; but mainly in honor of her first care package she ever sent… A girl named Emily Grace from Virginia. Emily was just two years old when she was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma. Not long after I sent Emily her package, at the age of six, Emily passed away... so now, Sami’s Sendoffs continues her legacy and I love her unconditionally through my foundation.
I always say If I can make one person happy, if I can change one life, if I can put a smile on one suffering child's face, or make one of these families proud, my goal has been reached. Nothing compares to the smiles my work brings. It is truly a blessing to be able to do this, and it has been an honor to be blessed with this life!
I am now seventeen and I plan on working towards my big goal of sending a package to every state in the country! Be sure to keep scrolling so you can meet the rest of the incredible Sami’s Sendoffs team!

Shannon McGarty
Shannon is one amazing girl, and Sami’s Sendoffs is lucky to have her.
Shannon has a grade 2 diffuse Astrocytoma in the cerebellum. She was diagnosed at 8. Her family watched her for about a year and a half, and then her tumor, which Shannon named Birtha, started growing. Shannon had TWO brain surgeries in the summer of 2020… talk about a superhero!
She had a year of stability and the tumor is growing again.
Shannon is now undergoing chemotherapy to help stop the growth of her tumor!
Shannon is excited to be working with Sami’s Sendoffs, and is excited to have an opportunity to share her crafty ideas with our care packages! We are so proud of Shannon and we can’t wait for her to create some awesome care packages with us!

Kara Ronci
Financial Manager
Kara, Sami’s mom, has encouraged Sami since she was young to make a difference. Kara currently works at the J Arthur Trudeau Center, working in the billing department for a foundation that helps children and adults with special needs. Kara is excited to help out with the financial responsibilities with Sami’s Sendoffs, and is proud of how far Sami’s Sendoffs has come!

Christina, Sami’s best friend since Kindergarten, has had a vision of helping Sami’s SendOffs since it was first created in May of 2020. Infact, Christina came up with our name! Christina has a bliss for life, and inspires others with her constant determination. We are honored to have her assisting the Sami’s SendOffs team in our mission!
